BUILDINGS ASSOCIATED WITH FREEMASONS IN GREATER VICTORIA
2002 Fernwood Road was built in 1910 as a commercial building with residential apartments on the upper floor. It still retains this original configuration.
It was built by the Parfitt Brothers (who were also members of Masonic Lodges in Victoria) for William Rennie, a member of Victoria-Columbia Lodge No. 1, who used it as the site of his Imperial Bakery, a business he ran in partnership with John Taylor. William Rennie lived with his family in an apartment on the upper level of this building.
