Dr. George Lawson Milne (1850-1933) was a member of Victoria-Columbia Lodge No.1. His brother was Alexander Roland Milne, a Past Grand Master.

Dr. Milne served as Victoria’s Public Health Officer.

He was born in Carmouth, Scotland. We will add more biographical information as we uncover it.

His home at 617 Battery Street is still standing and is on the City of Victoria Heritage Registry.

In 1911-1912 he built 754 Fort Street, still known as the Milne Building, as an investment property.

Dr. George Lawson Milne is buried in Ross Bay Cemetery, Victoria, B.C. Richard Hall (1853-1918) is buried in the same plot.
